The internal and foreign policy carried out by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in recent years is widely spoken not only in our country, but also abroad, about the economic progress, scientific and technical progress and tolerance in the country. Even some countries refer to Azerbaijan’s economy and service model.

The decree on approval of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Service and Social Innovation of Montenegro on cooperation with the citizens of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the establishment of a progressive mechanism for the provision of public services is a further evidence for that.

The author of the idea- the head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, the advisor on social and political issues of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the head of department- the doctor of historical sciences, professor Ali Hasanov, designers- the head of the department of interethnic relations, multiculturalism and religious affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Etibar Najafov, Chairman of the Baku International Center for Multiculturalism, rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, academician Kamal Abdullayev, editor-in-chief of AZERTAJ, PhD in political sciences Javid Badalov, head of department in Baku International Center for Multiculturalism Serkhanbey Khuduyev, the book “President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Azerbaijan Model of Multiculturalism”, consisting of selected thoughts, is well-deserved great step forward and a propaganda tool in this field. Today, those who implement anti popularization activities against our country can benefit from this book and forget misleading thoughts. The publication of the book in three languages- Azerbaijan, Russian and English- is a favorable factor for its dissemination abroad. If every citizen travelling abroad, takes this book with him and promote overseas, once again will prove that Azerbaijan is a country that values tolerance and multicultural values.

The book is designed for a wide audience of readers, it consists of speeches and interviews of the President of Azerbaijan. Here are the opinions of Mr.Ilham Aliyev, who spoke in his interviews and speeches about the Azerbaijan model of multiculturalism since 2003. In the publication, the initiatives and direct leadership of Mr.President, the projects implemented by our country in the field of multiculturalism, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, achievements in this field both in the country and in the international arena are mentioned. Once again, Azerbaijan is one of the world’s leading multicultural centers.

The head of our state notes that “the multicultural traditions, which are relatively new in our lexicon, have always existed in Azerbaijan for centuries. It was just name in a different way, but the essence has not changed”. When we look at the history of Azerbaijan, we can see that representatives of different nations, ethnic groups and religious communities have lived together in peace and harmony.

National Leader Heydar Aliyev laid the founder for Azerbaijan’s multiculturalism policy. This policy is being successfully continued in modern times by Mr.President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor of the Great Leader.

It should be noted that a large-scale presentation of the book was held at Baku International Multicultural Center and Azerbaijan University of Languages. It should be especially emphasized that the complex of these ideas by the Head of State in the book, as well as forming a full idea of Azerbaijan multiculturalism, is also of practical importance. Thus, students of our university, especially Philology and Journalism faculty, make a special effort to get a book and implement various projects related to it. Taking into consideration the interest of the students, we are planning to prepare a wall newspaper, written on the attitude of the active members of the Writers Club, to the book. In addition, the book we mentioned was selected as a reference object on the faculties taught in multiculturalism courses, including relevant graduation works of IV year students. It is expected that texts of the lessons will be selected from the books mentioned in the book, especially in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages. It plays an important role in the empowerment and strengthening of the patriotic spirit in our future guarantors- students, as well as in the study of multicultural values and traditions. In addition, students will be able to learn more about the integration of our country into the world community, the development of our economy, our people’s human sacrifices and the universal values.
