The next media tour was organized at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) on June 5 to observe the course of the summer session of spring semester 2018-2019 academic years. AUL Rector, People’s writer, Academician Kamal Abdullayev expressed his pleasure to welcome media representatives at the University. Briefing the examination session’s results, Rector pointed out, that the number of appeals decreased. Event representatives were given examination results statistics. Regarding the innovations, Rector mentioned the extension of examination process duration up to 3 hours, and the permission of using the dictionary and the program, provided in every examination room. K. Abdullayev considered examination as the continuation and the compound part of the education process. PhD in Philosophy Etibar Aliyev noted the importance of the discussions for the higher educational institutions. He pointed out that the transparency and objectivity ensuring in knowledge evaluation positively influence the education process. Education expert noted that there had been very few negative cases at AUL and he considered this as the positive result of the recently implemented reforms. AUL Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Afgan Abdullayev spoke of the Knowledge Assessment, Monitoring and Quality Assurance Departments, organized at the University. Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Sevinj Zeynalova talked of AUL Language and Translation Centre and mentioned that Language University took active part in PETRA and NIZAMI projects.   Event participants shared their opinions that today’s graduates matched the requirements of labour market, and the numbers of proposals, connected with the language teaching were made. It was noted that the order, signed by the AUL Rector, is providing examination process organization, based on the international experience in accordance with the relevant regulations, such as necessary requisite materials supply to auditoriums; transparency and objectivity ensuring in knowledge evaluation; possible negative situations prevention; talks with the tutors and subject  teachers ; students’ appeals consideration prior to the next exam and promoting students organizations members’ and parents representatives’ monitoring and support at the exams.
