Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages  academician Kamal Abdulla met  the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Ekert. Academician Kamal Abdulla said that he was pleased to see the guest at the University and gave to him information about the University. He expressed his confidence  and noted that the Czech Republic is an ancient country, so that the relations between the two countries would further strengthen and the universities of both countries may contribute to the development of those relations. According to Kamal Abdulla, a Center for the Czech Language and Culture is expected to open at the Azerbaijan University of Languages. The Rector hoped that a Center of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture would be opened in one of the Czech universities in future. Expressing his gratitude to the rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages for the warm reception, the ambassador informed him about the Czech universities. The sides exchanged views on the perspectives of future cooperation, development of bilateral relations, exchange of students and  experts. After the meeting there was the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition of the Azerbaijani photographer Aydin Sadikhov titled "Legends and History of the Ancient Peoples". The photographer visited Prague on the initiative of the embassy. The exhibition demonstrated the photos of the ancient buildings, streets, Gothic churches and mystic monuments. It also demonstrated the history of the ancient Yozefov Quarter, Stara-Novaya Synagogue  presented as the residence of Golem and Rabbi Lev, the legend of the murdered nun, the Water Man of the Iisland of Kampa, the Laboratory of Alchemists, the Iron Man  dedicated to the soul of Yahim Berkan by the famous sculpture, the legendary Karlov Bridge, the headless knight who have been walking in the streets of Prague at night and others. At the  exhibition the photographer acquainted the participants with the essence of the photos. The participants of the exhibition expressed their views about the photos.
