On February 7, 2019, there was held a ceremony of rewarding the winners of the written competition “Mübariz Ibrahimov - an Example of Patriotism” devoted to the birthday of Mübariz Ibrahimov, National Hero of Azerbaijan. The competition was held on the initiative of Şahin Sərdarlı, a reporter and third year student of Azerbaijan University of Languages. The rector and the staff of the University supported the competitiuon on their initiatives. The ceremony was attended by the intelligentsia, popular politicians and public figures. A video-roller reflecting the speech of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the burial ceremony of  Mübariz Ibrahimov was demonstrated. Then Academician Kamal Abdulla, rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, noted that the sincere speech of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the ceremony of burial found their way to the hearts of all. He highly appreciated the competition for the propagation of patriotism and said tha Mübariz and the heroes like him attacked the enemy saying “Let only motherland be eternal”. The heroism of  Mübariz Ibrahimov reminded the the heroical eposes of the youth who sacrifices their lives for the sake of the Motherland. He said that the dearest thing for anyone is his life, but those who know it and willingly advances against the death is immortality. He expressed his convenience that very soon the Azerbaijani people will celebrate the day of liberation of the native lands of the Azerbaijani people. Then Ilham Tumas, philosopher reporter, who was represented in the jury of the competition, including Rey Kərimoğlu, a ghazi of Garabagh, Mir Həsən Seyidov,chairman of the Public Associasion “Forward”, highle appreciated the organization of the competition and thanked all the persons who have taken in the organization of the competition. Şahin Sərdarlı, author of the project, who is a reporter, colalaborator and  third year student of Azerbaijan University of Languages,  declared that Mübariz is an example of heroism for the Azerbaijani youth. He noted that it is the moral and spiritual debt of each Azerbaijani youth to appreciate highly the names and deeds of our martyrs. Today the government keeps the families of the martyrs in the focus of attention. President Ilham Aliyev and the first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva stressed that the families of the martyrs are paid great tribute. It should be noted that about 300 persons took part in the competition, including students, teachers, school principals, pupils of schools of about 25 districts of the republic. One of the participants was given the first place, two persons were given the second places, three persons were given the third places, and seven persons were given encouraging places. All of them were given rewards and diplomas. The winners shared their views concerning the competition.
