On November 20, at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), the play “Kamancha” by outstanding writer and playwright Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was staged. The performance by Saadat Nabiyev directing was presented in English by university students.

Rector of AUL, Active member of ANAS, honored scientist Kamal Abdulla stressed that the play was staged on the initiative of the University Faculties- Translation and Cultural Studies, Philology and Journalism. He added that the preparation of such a work is an indicator of the high potential of students. Later, the rector talked about the spectacle: “Kamancha” is a work that reveals the tolerance and multiculturalism nature of our people. In this work, our people are shown to the world as being affectionate and merciful”. The rector then thanked everyone who contributed to the play.

After the performance, the students of the university spoke in different languages about the model of Azerbaijani multiculturalism, and the speech of the President Ilham Aliyev on multiculturalism was demonstrated.

Among the spectators of the play were students of the Faculty of “Actor Art” of the University of Culture and Arts, including their instructor honored artist Yagut Pashazadeh. The students also got acquainted with the Azerbaijan University of Languages and said they were leaving the university with pleasant impressions.
