Salman Guliyev, a student of the faculty of translation and cultural studies, is the artistic director and producer of the spectacle, jointly supported by AUL Student Youth Organization (SYO) and Student Trade Union Organization (STUO).

The main roles in the performance were performed by students of the Faculty of Education Aysel Hajiyeva (Leyli) and Murad Aliyev (Majnun). Salman Guliyev, a student of the Faculty of Translation and Culture played Ibn Salam, and Ramila Musazadeh, a student of the Faculty of Education played Leyli’s mother.

It should be noted that the opera “Leyli and Majnun” by Uzeyir Hajibeyli demonstrated for the first time on January 25th, 1908, opened a new era in the history of Azerbaijan music culture and laid the foundation for the opera genre in the Muslim East.
