On November 6, Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and Baku Engineering University (BEU) signed an agreement on cooperation in science and education as well as a protocol on scientific and technical cooperation.

Rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the Baku Engineering University delegation to the university. The rector emphasized that the connection of Azerbaijani universities to each other is extremely important. From this point of view signing of such an agreement between technical university and humanitarian university can be considered as a useful action. The Rector added that such relationships would be of great importance for university staff, students and other employees. Rector of BEU, Professor Havar Mammadov expressed his gratitude for the invitation. Speaking about the importance of signing the protocol on cooperation between the two universities, H.Mammadov noted that independent Azerbaijan needs literate cadres. In this sense, AUL language specialists and BEU play an important role in the development of the cadres. The cooperation of these two universities will contribute to the formation of professional staff. Other speakers talked about the importance of the contract. It was noted that AUL has special development tempo, the profile of BEU is directed to the technical field. In this sense, both universities will benefit from the experience of each other by signing the contract. Then, the sides signed an agreement on cooperation in the fields of science and education and a protocol on scientific and technical cooperation.

It should be noted that the cooperation document includes joint activities in the field of scientific-pedagogical and scientific research, expansion of inter-university relations, conducting joint scientific events, establishing joint scientific publications, improving the quality of teaching, adapting the level of specialist training, preparation of various joint projects within the cooperation and a number of important issues.
