An event titled “Azerbaijani and Chinese flags are symbols of friendship and cooperation” dedicated to the State Flag Day was held in Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages. The event started with a national anthem. Professor Rafig Abbasov, Director of the Confucius Institute, who made the opening speech, said that the Day of the National Flag was celebrated on November 9 every year under the Presidential Decree of November 17, 2009. Speaking at the event, employee of Confucius Institute Nigar Gojayeva gave detailed information about the features of the Azerbaijan flag, symbol of sovereignty of Azerbaijan. Later, Confucius Institute employee Vu Jingjing made a video about the history and the present of the Chinese flag.
