On November 2, the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted an event dedicated to Mexico’s Day of the Dead. The stand reflecting the holiday features is placed in the foyer of the university.

Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardi gave broad information to the students about the historical roots and traditions of the holiday. At the event welcomed by the attendees, the ambassador said that Mexico celebrated the Day of the Dead on November 2 every year. Today, in the home of every Mexican woman, a table is opened in honor of those who died, their favorite music sounds. In this way, they try to feel the spirit of the dead. To satisfy the dead, their delicacies are served on the table, doing their utmost to please their spirits.

The Mexicans recall with this holiday that they did not forget their late relatives.
