The “Consecutive translation” competition dedicated to the 95th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), organized by the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of the German Languages at the Faculty of Translation and Culture.

Director of the Translation Research Laboratory, Professor G.Bayramov gave brief information on the life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The competition was attended by 3rd and 4th year students studying German and English translation. Scientific worker of Tranlation Research ETL, Sabir Aliyev and laboratory assistant of department of translation theory and practice of the German languages, Rahiba Aliyeva read various speeches from Heydar Aliyev’s book “Oil Strategy” in Azerbaijani, English, German and translated the texts consistently. 361b group students of Translation and Culture Faculty, Chinara Salahova took I, Nargiz Abdullayeva II, Samira Kalbaliyeva III places in the competition. Accordingly, teachers of the department, Sevda Hasanova took I and II places and Tarana Mammadova took III place. The winners were awarded by the Teacher’s Union Committee. For active participation in the competition, 365th group student Narmin Khudiyeva, 462b group student Elmaddin Ramazanov, 362a group student Shabnam Mammadli and 363th group student Rasana Gasimova were awarded certificates.
