Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), an active member of ANAS, met with a delegation led by professor of the Chinese Communist Party Huzhou University, Professor Lieu Cienhon.

Welcoming the guests, the rector Kamal Abdulla said that Azerbaijan-China relations are developing at a high level and that AUL has good relations with various universities in China.

Kamal Abdulla marked that these relations are deep and broad.

Professor Lieu Cienhon, secretary of the Chinses Communist Party Huzhou University, said they are pleased with the visit to Baku and added that the capital of Azerbaijan is a beautiful and developed city.

Speaking about Azerbaijan’s good relations with China, Lieu Cienkhan noted that AUL had good relations with Chinese universities. The guest expressed his gratitude to the management of the university for special care and attention to the activity of Confucius Institute in AUL.

Professor Lieu Cienhon said that such meetings should take place frequently to reach a higher level of relations.

Chinese guests then became acquainted with the activity of Confucius Institute in AUL. Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov said that his organization consolidated in China for research on the implementation of China’s “One Pipeline- One Way” global project. He informed the guests about the subject of scientific seminars on Chinese philosophy and history at the institute. He acquainted guests with the study of the political heritage of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Confucius Institute and President Ilham Aliyev’s informationa base on the development of multilateral cooperation and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China. The delegation met with students studying in Chinese studies, participants of the Azerbaijani-Chinese lingua cultural camp, organized by the Institute of Confucius. Guests also participated in scientific seminars on “Intercultural Dialogue on Silk Road”. Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov made a report on “The Silk Road in the Political Heritage of the Azerbaijan National Leader Heydar Aliyev”.

Professor said Azerbaijan is a country of tolerance and multiculturalism, and his strategic direction, developed by the Great Leader, shaped the system and model of multicultural values that can be an example to the world. Professor Lieu Cienhon said that in direction of the historical “Silk Road”, Azerbaijan played a bridge for the spread of science, culture and ideas between East and West for more than two thousand years. The professor emphasized the important of co-operation between young people from Europe and Asia, sharing efforts and experiences in promoting tolerance and mutual understanding. At the end, the guests were presented with books titled “Ilham Aliyev- a contemporary contributor to the friendship of two ancient people”, published by the Chinese Language Confederation in the Chinese language and “Chinese People’s Republic President Si Jinpin’s modern concept of public administration” and “Chinese political strategy” published in Azerbaijani.
