Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Acting member of ANAS Kamal Abdulla met with Chairman of the National Assembly of Sudan Ibrahim Ahmed Omar.

Welcoming the guest, the rector spoke about the university, the languages spoken here, the centers of activity: “We also study the languages and cultures of countries such as Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, along with European countries, their languages and cultures at Azerbaijan University of Languages. In this sense, our interest in Sudan’s literature, history, culture is also great. If we have the chance to cooperate with any of Sudan’s universities, we can better promote the Azerbaijani culture in Sudan and help promote the Sudanese culture in our country. At the same time, we can invite the heads of Sudan universities to Baku and sign a cooperation agreement with them”.

Kamal Abdulla gave detailed information about the multicultural conditions in Azerbaijan. The rector noted that different peoples live in peace and brotherhood in our country, and President Ilham Aliyev always noted that multiculturalism has become a state policy.

Rector of AUL underlined that the subject of “Azerbaijan multiculturalism” and the model of Azerbaijan multiculturalism are taught at universities of different countries of the world, including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Indonesia, Russia, Poland, Georgia and other countries: “It is possible to do this in Sudan universities”.

Expressing his gratitude to Kamal Abdulla for his high hospitality and special attention, Ibrahim Ahmed Omar said that AUL is one of the top universities in the world. “I am very pleased to visit the University of Languages, one of the most prestigious and high-class universities in Azerbaijan. I highly appreciate your cooperation with Sudan universities. Creating these ties can lead to future co-operations”.

Speaking about the meeting with the Speaker of Milli Majlis Oktay Asaov, Ibrahim Ahmed Omar said that the meeting focused on the expansion of co-operation in the field of education.

Kamal Abdulla presented the book “President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the model of multiculturalism” to the chairman of the National Assembly of Sudan.
