A bibliographic index covering the life and work of Kamal Abdulla, Rector of AUL, Honored Scientist, Full Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Academician, and People's Writer, has been published by the Central Scientific Library (CSL) of ANAS.

The publication, dedicated to the scholar's 75th anniversary, was printed by Elm Publishing House pursuant to a relevant decision of the Presidium of ANAS.

The publication systematically brings together key dates in Kamal Abdulla's scholarly and pedagogical career, his academic and literary works, translations, information about projects he has led, and numerous other areas of his professional activity.

The opening pages of the book feature the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on awarding the honorary title of Honored Scientist to Azerbaijani scholars, signed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev on December 9, 1999, as well as the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev awarding K. M. Abdullayev the "Shohrat" (Glory) and "Sharaf" (Honor) Orders. These documents are a clear reflection of the high state recognition given to the scholarly, pedagogical, and public activities of the prominent scholar Kamal Abdulla.

The publication includes articles and reviews reflecting various stages of Kamal Abdulla's life and creative work, interviews, and materials related to his scholarly and pedagogical activities.

The book also features the views of prominent Italian writer, philosopher, and scholar Umberto Eco; People's Writer and Chairman of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers Anar; Rector of ADA University, Professor Hafiz Pashayev; prominent Orientalist and cultural scholar, Professor at the University of Florence Franco Cardini; Director of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, Academician Nizami Jafarov; prominent Turkish poet Olzhas Suleimenov; and other well-known intellectuals and scholars on Academician Kamal Abdulla.

The bibliographic index provides extensive information about the scholar's research in Azerbaijani linguistics, literary studies, folklore studies, and Turkology, as well as his activities in higher education. It also systematically presents his participation in various academic and public projects over many years, his contributions to international cooperation, and his efforts to promote Azerbaijani scholarship internationally.

Separate sections of the publication provide bibliographic descriptions of books authored by Kamal Abdulla, academic articles, literary works, translations, and projects he led in different years. In this regard, the index stands out as an important source offering a comprehensive overview of the scholar's multifaceted creative and academic work.

The bibliographic index, published on the occasion of Kamal Abdulla's 75th anniversary, is significant in terms of systematizing his rich scholarly and literary legacy and creating a reliable source base for future researchers.

It should be noted that the main part of the bibliography is structured differently from traditional classifications. Each year contains separate sections titled "Scientific Books and Monographs," "Articles, Theses, Essays, Forewords, Reviews, and Scholarly Conversations," "Literary Publications," "Interviews," "Academic Editing," "Works About Him," and "Awards and Honors."

The scientific editors of the publication are Hüseyn Hüseynov, Director of the Central Scientific Library and Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Aygul Hajiyeva, Doctor of Philology and Associate Professor. The editors are Ayten Aliyeva, Head of the Bibliography Department and PhD in Philology; Nargiz Novruzova, Head of the Scientific Bibliography Sector; and Gulara Amirova, PhD in Philology and Associate Professor.

The compilers of the publication are Chief Bibliographer Afat Mammadova and Adila Tahmasib.
