The meeting first focused on a proposal put forward by Gazi University regarding the organization of the 4th International Symposium on Teaching Turkish Language and Literature, dedicated to the Baku Turkology Congress and the 100th anniversary of Gazi University, at Azerbaijan University of Languages. It was noted that the symposium is proposed to be held at AUL on October 8–10, 2026, hosted by Azerbaijan University of Languages and jointly organized by Gazi University and the Institute for Research on Turkish Culture. Participants exchanged views on organizational matters, the academic significance of the symposium, and its contribution to the development of interuniversity cooperation.

The meeting then addressed preparations for two international scientific events scheduled to take place at AUL in 2027: the New York Writers Conference and the 15th Global Conference on Linguistics and Foreign Language Teaching.

Participants discussed negotiations held with the organizers of both conferences, preliminary agreements that had been reached, and ongoing preparations.

It was noted that the New York Writers Conference is held annually in different countries, and that the 2027 edition is expected to take place in Azerbaijan at Azerbaijan University of Languages. Approximately 20 participants from the United States are expected to attend. It was proposed that one day of the five-day conference program at AUL be devoted to Azerbaijani literature, while the remaining four days focus on American literature. In addition, detailed discussions were held on program development, the organization of workshops, accommodation arrangements for international guests, coffee breaks and dinners, cultural activities, and excursions to Karabakh.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the 15th Global Conference on Linguistics and Foreign Language Teaching, which is scheduled to be held at AUL in 2027. Preliminary expectations and organizational requirements submitted by the organizers were examined. Discussions covered the conference’s hybrid format, allocation of session halls, identification of keynote speakers, arrangements for coffee and lunch breaks, reception of international participants, preparation of conference materials, as well as other organizational and financial matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants agreed to continue preparatory work to ensure the successful organization of the international events, strengthen cooperation with partner institutions, and gradually finalize program details and organizational arrangements.
