On June 12–13, a two-day training program for Spanish language teachers was held within the framework of cooperation between Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and the Cervantes Institute.

The training featured Jose Manuel Ruiz Fernandez, Spanish language teacher and coordinator at the Istanbul branch of the Cervantes Institute, and Manuel Fernandez-Conde, Head of Research at the Cervantes Institute, as expert trainers.

The program covered modern teaching methods, new approaches to language instruction, and practical activities. It also provided participants with an opportunity for productive exchange of ideas and professional experience.

At the end of the highly professional program, certificates were presented to the participants by Jose Pedro Torrubia, Chargé d’Affaires of Spain in Azerbaijan.

The training, organized entirely free of charge, is planned to be held annually in both in-person and online formats in the future.

The project was implemented through the joint efforts of Elvira Imanova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of Romance Languages, and Nargiz Madatova, Head of the Spanish Language Center.
