AUL Rector Attends International Children’s Day Event at Bilasuvar Education Complex
Opening the event, Acting Executive Director of the Complex, Aqshin Baghirov, welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of Rector Kamal Abdulla’s visit to the lyceum for the educational environment and the development of mutual cooperation. He highly appreciated Ambassador Lu Mei’s participation in the event and noted that such meetings make a significant contribution to broadening students’ worldviews.
Baghirov stated that children are society’s most valuable asset and highlighted that state policy aimed at their comprehensive development is being consistently implemented in Azerbaijan. He noted that this policy is further strengthened through the modern educational environment created in schools, international partnerships, and opportunities for students to realize their individual potential. Congratulating the students on International Children’s Day, he wished them success and expressed confidence that they would grow into patriotic, educated, and loyal citizens of their country.
In his speech, Academician Kamal Abdulla greeted the participants of the event, including the Complex’s director Aqshin Baghirov, the students, and Ambassador Lu Mei. The rector then spoke about the history of cooperation established between the higher education institution he leads and the Complex, emphasizing that this partnership has opened new opportunities in the field of education. Kamal Abdulla highlighted the broad prospects that language learning offers young people, noting in particular that the teaching of Chinese creates important advantages for international communication and future career development. He also touched upon the significance of projects implemented in Azerbaijan to protect children’s rights, stressing that such initiatives contribute to children’s healthy physical and moral development.
Ambassador Lu Mei congratulated the students on the occasion of the special day. She expressed her gratitude to the leadership of AUL and the Education Complex for their long-standing contributions to the development of Chinese-language education and the expansion of cultural exchanges between China and Azerbaijan. The ambassador highly praised Azerbaijan’s achievements in protecting children’s rights and improving their welfare, and expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries in education and youth development would continue successfully in the future. Concluding her speech, the diplomat wished the children peace, happiness, and a bright future.
During the artistic part of the event, songs were performed in Azerbaijani and foreign languages, and various dance performances were presented. In addition, students of the Complex staged a performance entitled “If Children Ruled the World,” through which they shared their views, dreams, and thoughts about the world with the audience.
