Seminar on “Game Theory in International Relations” Held

The Department of International Relations at Azerbaijan University of Languages organized another seminar for doctoral students pursuing their PhD studies in the field of international relations.

At the seminar, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science Aysel Baghirova delivered a presentation on the topic “Game Theory in International Relations.”

During the event, detailed information was provided about game models widely used in world politics, and the importance of game theory in explaining rational behavior in the foreign policy decision-making processes of states was highlighted.

In addition, the dynamics of developments were explained through practical situations, and the interests and objectives of the parties involved in several current security issues in international relations were analyzed based on the approaches of Game Theory.

The seminar continued with a question-and-answer session and discussions.
