On May 3, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 94th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev was held on the joint initiative of the Youth Education Center (YEC) and Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

Head of the sector the Presidential Administration Social and Political Department, Vusal Guliyev, some government representatives, teachers and students attended the event.

In his opening speech, the Executive Director of YEC  Fakhraddin Hassanzadeh noted that more than 150 students had applied for theses, panel sessions will be held on 5 sections. Heydar Aliyev has an exceptional place to protect the statehood traditions of Azerbaijan, as well as young people differ with activity in all spheres of public life,  he said.

The dean of AUL's School of Education, Professor Fikret Jahangirov talked about national leader Heydar Aliyev, his  unparalleled services for the Azerbaijani state and the people, as a unique and powerful head of state in the chronicle of Azerbaijan. He also spoke about Heydar Aliyev's merits in the development of education and culture, he had spent all his life to the development of people and the homeland, professor noted.

Head of Public Council on Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Nureddin Mehdiyev spoke about the importance of studying of Heydar Aliyev heritage in detail by young people.

Head of the sector of Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusala Niftaliyeva noted the need always investigating, propagating Heydar Aliyev among young people, and a common practice in teaching now in many countries, as a historical phenomenon turning Azerbaijan people from recession towards growth. She added that he always contributed to preserve the independence of Azerbaijan and the political activity of the national leader should be delivered to the younger generation. Each Azerbaijani youth, who loves nation, the people and independence, will always retain eternal national wealth of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

After the official part, head of the sector of  the Presidential Administration Social and Political Department, Vusal Guliyev noted that  Heydar Aliyev came to Baku after persistent demand of people in 1993, he survived not only Azerbaijani statehood, but also perishing of people. After his second return to the  political power political stability and peace, democratic environment, political and economic reforms led to serious works in all spheres of life, such as the establishment of a profound change in the field of youth work. During activities national leader Heydar Aliyev treated with special care to the comprehensive development of young people, as well as well studying. This was not accidental. Because of the great leader knew that the only way to progress is enlightenment of the youth and obtaining higher education.

V.Guliyev said that the national leader Heydar Aliyev came to power for the first time in 1969, at that time he  also paid special attention to work with young people. He attached great importance to the issue of education of Azerbaijani youth abroad. In 1969-1970 academic year, he sent total of 47 people outside the country to study, in 1975 the figure increased 14 times and was nearly 700. In subsequent years, this growth continued steadily and reached 1000. In total, in 70-80s of the past century more than 15thousand Azerbaijani youth received their education - in the former Soviet Union republic more than 50 cities at 170high schools on 250 qualifications.

After the official opening, students, who are authors of 3 best theses made presentations. Every 3 authors were awarded by visitors.

As a result, panel sessions, themes, the halls and moderators were announced.
