On May 18–19, a group of employees from Azerbaijan University of Languages participated in the international scientific conference titled “Contemporary Issues in Language, Education and Research,” organized by Mingachevir State University and Dokuz Eylul University at the Heydar Aliyev Center in the city of Mingachevir. The AUL representatives were invited to moderate the English-language panel of the conference and participate in the panel discussions.

The panel titled “The Interaction of Language, Education and Technology in the Modern Era” was moderated by Narmin Mustafayeva, senior lecturer at the Department of English Stylistics.

During the panel, Head of the Department of Linguoculturology, Doctor of Philological Sciences Vusala Aghabeyli delivered a presentation on “Linguoculturology: Language, Literature, and Cultural Identity.” Associate Professor of the Department of English Stylistics and PhD in Philology Ayten Allahverdiyeva presented a report titled “The Influence of Social Media on Modern Language Use,” while senior lecturer of the Department of English Lexicology and PhD in Philology Azada Mikayilova spoke on “Language Policy and Educational Strategies in Multicultural Environments.”

The speakers answered questions from the participants and exchanged views on the discussed topics.
