Within the framework of the “Orkhon Academic Exchange Program,” staff members of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) who were sent on a scientific mission to Karaganda Buketov University — Senior Lecturer of the Department of European Languages Sevda Abuzarli and Lecturer of the Department of World Languages Leyla Seyidova — held a meeting with the university administration.

During the meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Professor Alfiya Kitibayeva, Deputy Dean and Senior Lecturer Dariqa Toluspayeva, and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, PhD Dinara Djoldanova, the AUL representatives discussed the importance of the academic exchange program implemented between the universities, as well as prospects for expanding educational and scientific cooperation opportunities.

As part of the visit, AUL lecturers organized a seminar in English on the topic “History of Azerbaijan” for third-year students. During the seminar, Azerbaijan’s rich history and cultural heritage were presented to the international academic community. The event covered topics such as Azerbaijani history, national cuisine, historical monuments, and culture, while also providing scientific analysis of historical events and extensive information on the cultural, political, and social development of the Azerbaijani people from ancient times to the modern era.

As part of their introduction to the university, the lecturers visited the museum of Academician Y.E. Buketov located on campus and wrote their thoughts in the memorial guestbook. In addition, the AUL staff became closely acquainted with the university’s rich library and the activities of its botanical greenhouse.
