AUL lecturers carried out academic activities in Kazakhstan
Senior lecturers of the Department of Regional Studies on Eastern Countries at Azerbaijan University of Languages, Aygun Soltanzade and Kamala Gurbanli, visited Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University located in the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan, from April 11 to 25 within the framework of the ORHUN Teacher Exchange Program.
They were hosted by the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of Economics and Administration at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi University. As part of the program, they conducted seminars and also attended classes. First, they met with the university coordinator of the program, Gulshat Tolegen. This was followed by meetings with the Head of the International Office, Marat Temirbekov, and the Head of the Department of International Relations, Dr. Makpal Anlamassova, where they discussed scientific activities and prospects for cooperation, and determined the teaching schedule.
Aygun Soltanzade and Kamala Gurbanli attended a class conducted by Dr. Nurzhan Turuzbekov, a lecturer of the Department of International Relations, where they delivered lectures on “Turkey–Kazakhstan Relations” and “Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan Relations and Shared Values.”
On the following day of their active teaching activities, they held a seminar on “Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Azerbaijan Recognized by UNESCO,” engaging students in an interactive academic discussion. At the end of the seminar, they were awarded certificates by Dr. Serik Absattar.
Finally, during a meeting with Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Giritlioglu, the lecturers were presented with official certificates of participation in the program.
In addition, Aygun Soltanzade and Kamala Gurbanli conducted research using the scientific resources and books available at the university library, as well as at the Farabi Library located in the city of Turkistan.
It should be noted that the ORHUN Teacher Exchange Program aims to promote academic cooperation and expand the exchange of experience among the countries of the Turkic world. The participants expressed their gratitude to the leadership of AUL and its International Office for this opportunity.
