On May 12, a quiz on " Question and answer on  Korea" in connection with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

The event was held on the joint organization of AUL and Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan, the acting rector of the university, Professor Afgan Abdullayev welcomed the guests and expressed his pleasure to see them at the event. Before the event, he looked at the photographic exhibition that reflected the lifestyle of Korea in the lobby of the university, and the professor said that this exhibition had a pleasant impact on him.

At the end of his speech A.Abdullayev thanked Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea, Kim Hwang Gyu for their support and wished success to the students who participated in the quiz.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea, Kim Hwang Gyu welcomed the guests and noted being informed about the university before coming our country. The country is developing day by day, the peoples of the nations of Azerbaijan and Korea are relatives, he added. Touching on the diplomatic relations between the two countries, the ambassador stressed the importance of further development of relations between the two countries.

A student, who won the first place the previous year represents Azerbaijan in Korea, said the ambassador and noted that the student in the final round held in Korea. In conclusion, he wished the students success.

Later, a quiz was organized consisting of 2 stages and 12 participants. The student who answered 25 correct answers winning the first place won the chance to represent Azerbaijan in Korea.

At the end of the quiz the first, second and third places students were awarded.

Note that the first place winner of the quiz Farida Aydayeva is a student of the AUL’s School of Translation.
