On May 23, Confucius Institute which operates within Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted a seminar on  "Azerbaijan and China's environmental policy" dedicated to the professional holiday of workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan .

Speaking with the opening speech the Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov spoke about the formation of ecological culture in China, its role in ensuring the sustainable development of China, China’s problems of environmental diplomacy.

Speaking at the seminar, Professor of Beijing's Central Economic University, Doctor of History Zhang Pin spoke about features of China legislation in the field of environmental protection, main problems of ecosystem protection, and environmental policy of modern China.

Speaking at the seminar, the senior teacher of the Department of Regional Studies Bedire Kerimova and the department teacher Khayala Aghayeva informed about globalization and modernization process of the environmental situation in Azerbaijan and China, a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the solution of environmental problems.

Head of the Department of Ecogeography Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Anvar Aliyev made a speech at a seminar on the study of environmental issues, protection of their basic economic and geographical landscapes and spoke about the problems.

 In the end, a documentary on ecological problems of modern China was demonstrated.

As well as representative of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Ibrahim Museyibov also attended the seminar.
