On May 25, the acting rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Professor Afgan Abdullayev met with a delegation of rectors and vice rectors of 10 leading higher educational institutions of Romania guided by Giggle Paraskiv, deputy minister of Romania Educational and scientific research who visited Baku to participate in Romania-Azerbaijan Educational Forum that was held in Azerbaijan  on may 24-25.

Welcoming the guests, Professor Abdullayev said he was pleased to see them at the university. Giving detailed information about the history of the university professor spoke about the university's international relations, the learning process. He noted that AUL has successful cooperation with the world's leading universities in the education field. Talking about the language and culture centers of the university Abdullayev noted that recently an event was held at the University in connection with 10th anniversary of the founding of Baku American Center.

Speaking about the relations with the Romanian universities, Professor Abdullayev spoke about the importance of teacher and student exchange. It is scheduled to open Romanian Center at the University, and this will play an important role in teaching of the country's language, history and culture, he added.

Expressing his gratitude for warm reception, Giggle Paraskiv said he was pleased to be at AUL. Romania is ready to supply the materials for the center with the support of the university, the visitor said.

During the meeting, prospects of future cooperation, implementation of joint projects, the exchange of students and teachers were discussed.

After the meeting, visitors got acquainted with the language and cultural centers.
