AUL held a meeting with the People's writer Elchin

On May 30, a scientific session devoted to creativity of  writer, novelist, playwright, critic, public figure, Professor Elchin, organized jointly by the departments of English Language Stylistics and Linguoculturology was held at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

The event was opened by the Head of Department of English Language Stylistics, Associate Professor Sevinj Zeynalova said that the purpose of the meeting  is enrichment knowledge about creativity of writer, Professor Elchin who  created a unique scientific system  with fundamental monographs, the author of comedies, lyrical stories, tragedies playwright.

The acting rector of AUL, Professor Afgan Abdullayev said that Elchin holds a special place in the history of the artistic works of literature not only in Azerbaijan but also in the world. According to him, a talented representative of modern national prose and drama, outstanding public figure, renowned Elchin reflected events happening in the society, in the world, understanding spiritual and moral state deeply  in his works  with the talent, strength and the power of mastery, artistic pain.

A.Abdullayev noted that AUL is the unique university and  said he believes the writer's works will be translated into different languages of the world by the university teachers and students. At the end Abdullayev thanked E.Efendiyev for coming to the university, stressed the importance of holding such meetings regularly.

Associate Professor Vafa Aliyev made speech on "As the author of human ideas", Professor Maryam Alizadeh "Elchin and theater", editor in chief of "Visions of Azerbaijan" magazine Ian Peart on  " Elchin’s creativity in the English language.

At the end the playwright appreciated students’ performance staging "Shakespeare" play in the English language, along with the language teaching at the University it is an example of cultural habits. Noting the meeting was held at a high level People's Writer Anar thanked everyone who contributed to its creation.
