A Novruz celebration event was held at Huzhou University
On March 25, an event dedicated to the Novruz holiday was held within the framework of academic and cultural cooperation between the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and Huzhou University. The event began with a speech emphasizing the importance of the development of Azerbaijan–China relations for our country, as well as noting the upcoming 34th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Afterwards, Konul Mammadova delivered a speech about the history of Novruz, which is currently celebrated in our country and is included in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
At the event, Azerbaijani students studying at Huzhou University also gave engaging presentations in both Chinese and English. Raziyya Ahadova spoke about the Novruz holiday, Nurana Seyidaliyeva presented on Novruz games, and Maleyka Allahverdiyeva highlighted the similarities between spring festivals celebrated in China and Azerbaijan.
At the end of the event, a video featuring the traditional yalli dance, symbolizing unity and solidarity, was shown. Participants were offered Novruz sweets, and their symbolic meanings were explained.
The event concluded with the organization of Novruz games.
