On March 19, an event dedicated to the Novruz and Ramadan holidays was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). During the event, detailed information was provided about the history, traditions, and attributes of these holidays, which are celebrated every year by the Azerbaijani people with great joy and enthusiasm.

AUL Rector, Academician Kamal Abdulla, congratulated the university staff and students on the occasion and spoke about the university’s achievements:

“I sincerely congratulate you on this wonderful holiday and wish you strong health and happiness. May our homes always be warm, and may there always be celebrations in our land. Over the years, our university has achieved numerous successes at both international and national levels. These achievements are the result of the efforts of our teachers and students. We are also honored to welcome the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, Mr. Kang Kymgu, who has joined us to celebrate this beautiful holiday. We express our gratitude to him.

The President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has rendered invaluable services to our people. Today, Karabakh is free, and Azerbaijan is progressing as a powerful state. This has been made possible by our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ilham Aliyev. The soul of our National Leader Heydar Aliyev rejoices at the success of a strong Azerbaijan. Our Supreme Commander-in-Chief is courageously fulfilling the legacy of the Great Leader. Together with a progressing Azerbaijan, we are all moving forward and developing. I wish for you to remain loyal to the new Azerbaijan and to be among those who continue this path. Let the voice of the President of Azerbaijan, who conveys the truths of Azerbaijan to the world, be heard and felt in every classroom. Happy holiday!”

As part of the event, festive tables and stands displaying holiday attributes prepared by various departments and dean’s offices were showcased. Holiday songs were performed by singer Elchin Jafarov, and a “Ramadan table” was also organized.

At the end of the event, the traditional Novruz bonfire was lit.
