"It is very interesting to communicate with students and teachers at the University of Languages"

Participants of the Azerbaijan-China linguocultural culture camp, which is organized by Confucius Institute under the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), are pleased to be in our country. Chinese School students studying Chinese language in China also teach Chinese language, Chinese history, culture and cookery.

Yee Zipeng, a Summer School participant who is very pleased with being at AUL, said he was interested in communicating with students: "I am interested in communicating with students and teachers at the University of Languages in both Chinese and English, but also to promote Chinese culture to students. The Chinese language teacher Ji Hua stressed the importance of the Confucius Institute in AUL to learn Chinese more efficiently: "Students studying at AUL have the opportunity to learn Chinese language, culture and history through our visual learning.  I'm glad to teach them Chinese history, because it is our duty to know our history. Because of my special interest in historic places, I would like to tour the historical places of Azerbaijan in the future ".

"It's interesting for me to tell the students about Chinese games, music art and artists. I love singing samples of Chinese music with the students ". Li Yufe said this. “I am happy to have had new friends at AUL”.

 Noting that the AUL environment is still a long-term memorandum, Chinese students have said they have the opportunity to taste Azerbaijani cuisine, visiting the Maiden Tower, the Icheri Sheher and other historical monuments, trying to find similar and distinctive traits between China and Azerbaijan.

Professor Rafig Abbasov, director of the Confucius Institute at AUL, said that the Summer Camp was traditionally held at AUL. He noted that Azerbaijan and China have historic and cultural ties since ancient times. "Summer school is not only teaching Chinese to students, but also for Chinese students to gain new friends in AUL and learn more about Azerbaijan. They witness that our country has tolerant and multicultural values, and when they return to their countries, they will promote Azerbaijan in this direction. "
