Ayan Karimova, a student of the Chinese Studies specialty at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), is currently studying at the University of Uhkan in China. She was awarded a Distinguished Certificate in the International Painting Fair "Sakura" held in the same city.

Traditionally, at the festival, which was held in Uhkan every year, the participants of the contest presented paintings and photographs of oil and water paintings. The competition was attended by more than 60 countries.

Our student A.Karimova was awarded the first place among ladies by representing our motherland "Uzundere" in "Miss and Mister Uhkan" competition among foreign students at Uhkan University. Azerbaijani national dress and dance presented by AUL student were met with great interest.

 A.Karimova also held a meeting with more than 600 students from College # 1 in Suizhou, China. The presentation of "Ilham Aliyev - a contemporary follower of friendship of ancient peoples" was held during the meeting. The book is dedicated to the activity of President Ilham Aliyev in the development of bilateral political, economic and cultural relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China in 2003-2017. Chinese students have asked questions about the culture, art, history and opportunities of our country to come to Azerbaijan. The lecture was held in Chinese and English languages.

Professor Rafig Abbasov, Director of the Confucius Institute at AUL, said that students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages have been successfully acquainted with China's leading higher education institutions, as well as to convey the truth about the modern life of Azerbaijan, as a dynamically developing tolerant country on the Great Silk Road, to the Chinese public. They regularly organize public events, organizing events dedicated to the history, culture, politics and economy of our country.
