A round table on “Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management in International Relations” was held at AUL
A round table entitled “Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management in International Relations” was organized jointly by the Department of International Relations and the Doctoral Department of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).
During the event, the speaker, Associate Professor Aysel Baghirova, a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, provided detailed information on the negative impact of modern conflicts on international security and emphasized the necessity of expanding scientific research aimed at their resolution. She noted that the diversity of causes behind conflicts within the international relations system requires an individualized approach to their resolution and presented information on various resolution mechanisms within this framework.
In her presentation, terminology related to conflict resolution, peaceful and violent settlement methods, the role of third parties, the characteristics of negotiation processes, as well as issues of strategy and tactics were explained from a theoretical perspective. At the same time, information was provided on the practical application of these mechanisms in international practice.
The round table continued with the active participation of doctoral students and extensive discussions on the topic.
