A textbook entitled “English through Arts” has been published by the instructors of the Department of English Stylistics under the Faculty of Philology at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (ADU).

The authors of the publication are PhD in Philology Gunay Fakhraddin Baghirova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Aysel Mammadbeyli, PhD in Philology Afaq Eminli, Senior Lecturer Sabina Nuralieva, and Senior Lecturer Aydan Guliyeva.

The textbook “English through Arts” presents language instruction within the context of art and culture, serving both to develop students’ language skills and to broaden their cultural outlook. The book consists of thematic sections covering world and Azerbaijani cultural heritage, literature, fine and applied arts, music, and other fields of art.

The manual aims to foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and aesthetic appreciation among students, while also acting as a bridge between language and culture and contributing to the development of intercultural understanding.

The new publication is expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching of English in higher education institutions and to the advancement of an art-oriented integrative approach to language instruction.
