The Confucius Institute, which operates under the Azerbaijan University of Languages, continues its large-scale activity in promoting Chinese national cuisine in Azerbaijan. The work on promoting the rich Chinese cuisine traditions has become even more widespread thanks to participating in this prestigious culinary event this summer. Employees of the Confucius Institute at AUL among more than 500 participants from 12 foreign countries and about 50 regions of Azerbaijan participated in the II International Festival of Festivals held in Khachmaz on July 15, and Chinese national cuisine with bamboo leaf content was awarded the 3rd place. The event, which was attended by the visitors from Indonesia, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine, Mexico and other countries was also repeated at the V International Jam Festival in Gabala on August 26. 22 countries (China, Turkey, Germany, Belarus, Great Britain, Georgia, Croatia, Iran, Kirgizstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Poland, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Northern Cyprus) Sweets, as well as jams representing 44 cities and districts of Azerbaijan, the Confucius Institute employees were awarded with gold medals and won 1st place with Chinese national cuisine, lemon honey, sesame and peanut jams.

It should be noted that the Confucius Institute functioning at AUL is not limited to participation in festivals. Thus, the Confucius Institute and the National Culinary Center have an agreement on cooperation. Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov said that the main goal of the agreement is to expand cooperation in the field of culinary art between the two countries, to strengthen ties in the field of cooking culinary and cooking, to introduce Chinese national cuisine in Azerbaijan and Chinese national cuisine in China, master classes in culinary arts. According to Professor Abbasov, national culinary art of Azerbaijan and China is an important element of cultural heritage and is based on centuries-old traditions of our peoples.
