Kamal Abdulla met with India’s ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Acting member of ANAS Kamal Abdulla met with India’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijani Sanjay Rana on September 18.

The rector thanked the ambassador for his lecture at the university, as part of “Ambassador’s Hour” project at AUL. The Rector invited the ambassador to give a lecture to students at the new academic year.

Sanjay Rana, who thanked the university administration for high hospitality, noted the University of Languages always supports the work of the embassy.

During the meeting, Sanjay Rana invited Kamal Abdulla to visit India.

Noting that a series of cultural of events will be held in connection with the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the diplomat emphasized that he hopes for the active participation of ADU students in these event.

India’s ambassador to Azerbaijan added that he wants a large number of students studying Indian in AUL.

The Ambassador pointed out that a prominent Indian writer Rabindranat Tagorun’s new book will be published in Azerbaijani, and suggested Kamal Abdulla to write a preface.

Rector Kamal Abdulla welcomed the Ambassador’s proposals and expressed his gratitude.
