An international scientific-methodical seminar "DaF-Unterricht im Stadium" ("German as a Foreign Language in Education") was held at Azerbaijan University of Languages on September 18. Professors and teachers from Germany, Kazakhstan and other countries participated in the seminar. Speaking at the event, Assistant Professor of the Department of Lexicology and Stylistics of the German Language University, as well as the head of the DaF-Unterricht im Stadium project in Azerbaijan, Ulduz Aslanova, welcomed the participants and expressed confidence that exchange of views during the seminar would be successful. She said that the main purpose of the seminar is to develop new methods in the teaching of German language in higher education institutions and to improve the quality of teacher training.

Hans-Werner Huneke, Rector of German University of Heidelberg, expressed satisfaction with his visit to AUL: "Cooperation between AUL and Haydelbergh University has been successfully continued for several years. As a result of the inter-university exchange of teachers during these years, the use of different methods in the teaching of German was considered. During the seminar representatives of different universities will deliver lectures and exchange views on German language teaching ".

Then Assistant Professor Ulduz Aslanova made a report on "Foreign Language Education in Azerbaijan". She gave detailed information on the actual problems of German language teaching in higher education institutions and improvement of general language level for acquisition of language skills.

It should be noted that the DaF-Unterricht im Stadium seminar will continue until September 22.
