On December 12, Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted an event dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

First of all, memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a moment of silence.

Opening the meeting, the acting rector, Professor Dunyamin Yunusov noted that the founder of independent Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev’s services to the nation and homeland are unparalleled during all times of the national leader our country gained economic revival, made good progress, the voice of the nation was heard among the nations of the world. A new phase in the history of Azerbaijan was connected with the name of Heydar Aliyev and his titanic activity, nationwide leader struggled for the development and prosperity of his country, the professor said. Professor D.Yunusov brought to the attention the thoughts of well-known public and political figures from around the world, government leaders and thinkers of the ideas about national leader Heydar Aliyev. Being the giant figure in world politics the national leader by introducing the republic in a short period of time, economic and political interests has increased to our country, Professor Dunyamin Yunusov stressed that he has indelible traces of his building activity in every region. He noted special attention of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the field of education, in 2000, according to the decree signed by him with the growing profile of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Languages was changed to Azerbaijan University of Languages.  Continuation of the work started by national leader Heydar Aliyev,  to bring  the state to new successes, is our duty before him, the professor said, today follower of the ideas of the eternal, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev confidently moves into the future. Professor D.Yunusov expressed his hope for benefiting from the great leader's genius skills, thanks to President Ilham Aliyev’s statehood skill and leadership ability our country will even more develop, maintaining independence and sovereignty and further strengthening.

The event continued with literary and artistic part dedicated to the national leader Heydar Aliyev. Students Elnur Aghayev sang the songs  "Dahi", Gulnar Ibrahimli “Kucelere su sepmishem” accompanied by Murad Alizade on the piano,  Aysel Hajiyeva "Alagoz", Farah Rajabova said the poem  "Unuda bilmerik hech zaman seni".

People’s Artists Zumrud Mammadova and Heydar Anatollu, who attended the event performed songs dedicated to the national leader.

Then, a performance on "Veten omru" was featured on the script of fourth-year students of the "Sabah" groups Gulrukh Aliyeva and directed by Saadat Nabiyeva  .

Note that a few days before the event,  under the leadership of acting rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Professor D.Yunusov  professor-teacher and students visited the Alley of Honors of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and his spouse, prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva laid a wreath and flowers  on their the graves.
