The representative of Warwick University at AUL

On April 7, the acting rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Professor Afgan Abdullayev met with Lana Shaugney, representative of the Center for the Student Recruitment  in the UK and Europe of University of Warwick.

Greeting the guest Professor A. Abdullayev expressed his gladness to see her at the university. Speaking about the university's history, international relations, the process of teaching, A.Abdullayev noted that 22 languages are taught at the University. A.Abdullayev also touched on international relations of the university and noted that the university has partnership with most prestigious higher education institutions in the world. An agreement on dual diplomas was signed between the University and the University of Essex in the UK; he said and noted that both countries recognize these diplomas. AUL prepares foreign language speaking experts, professor noted and underlined that foreign students study at the university through various exchange programs.

Expressing her gratitude for warm reception Lana Shaugney said that she was pleased to be at AUL. She said that for the first time she is in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan University of Languages. She spoke about the University of Warwick and noted that 25,000 students study there. Speaking about the University's academic campuses, a rich library Lana Shaugney stressed that various opportunities were created for the education of students. She also spoke about the importance of the exchange of teachers and students between the two universities.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the implementation of joint projects, cooperation, the exchange of teachers and students.
