On April 7, an event was held in the framework of the project "Diaspora lessons in higher educational institutions” organized by the Diaspora Union of Journalists of the Republic of Azerbaijan at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

AUL's vice rector for Educational Affairs, Professor Aladdin Aliyev noted the important issues of the Diaspora activity and spoke about the importance of raising awareness event will be able to work with professionals outside the country. Praising the work of the Diaspora Union of Journalists A. Aliyev expressed confidence that the joint activity of Diaspora and journalists in this area will yield significant results. Regular and systematic way of holding such measures are important, he said and emphasized the importance of work of drawing such lessons in the curriculum.

Head of Diaspora Union of Journalists, Fuad Huseynzadeh gave detailed information about the working principle, the success, and its activity on the basis of national ideology. The main objective, strategy and main targets of the project "Diaspora lessons in higher educational institutions” are to develop the idea of the Azerbaijani Diaspora, students and youth, to strengthen the role of youth in the conduct of information war, he said.

"Work with Azerbaijanis living abroad is the focus of attention of the Azerbaijani Government” - sector advisor of Social and Political Department of the Azerbaijanis living abroad of Presidential Administration Natig Heydarov  said and spoke about nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev’s contribution  in the formation of Azerbaijan Diaspora. Then he shared his thoughts about Diaspora policy of the state, as well as the role of the Diaspora in the successful implementation of foreign policy, social activity of young people abroad.

Then, speeches of the "Dutch House of Azerbaijan" Elkhan Mirhashimli, the chairman of the Azerbaijani Youth Council in Poland Nail Ahmed, head of the Russian office of Azerbaijan Slavic Youth Association Togrul Allahverdili, Secretary General of the Diaspora Union of Journalists Siyavush Amirli were listened with interest.

Note that the head of "Paris House of Azerbaijan ", Secretary-General of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan Mirvari Fataliyeva and the graduate of AUL connected with the "Skype"  to the "Diaspora lesson" and shared their thoughts with students.

After the event, the guests got acquainted with university-based centers.
