Rector of AUL met with international seminar participants

Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Acting member of ANAS, honored scientist Kamal Abdulla received the participants from Germany, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Chechnya at the international scientific-methodical seminar "DaF-Unterricht im Stadium" ("German as a Foreign Language in Education") held at the university.

Expressing his satisfaction with their visit to AUL, Kamal Abdulla expressed hope that the high level relations would further develop.

The rector noted that very serious work was being done in the direction of joint study of the epics "Kitabi-Dada Gorgud" and "Nibelung's songs", as well as transformation into a joint research object, he said.

Kamal Abdulla reminded that the German orientalist, Turkologist and diplomat H.Fridrix wrote that Didier Ditsin had discovered the manuscript of the "Kitabi-Dede Gorgud" epos and an unprecedented role in introducing it to the world, or that it was revealed by the German orientalist of the Kitabi Dada Gorgud monument, as well as the 200th anniversary of the introduction of the world science world, a series of seminars, roundtables, master classes, dedicated to his life and creativity, published articles and abstracts by the decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on February 20, 2015.

Reminding that he is the head of the Baku International Multicultural Center's Board of Trustees, Kamal Abdulla said that the subject of "Azerbaijan's multiculturalism" has been taught in a number of countries around the world and hopes that the Heidelberg University will take steps to educate this subject.

Kamal Abdulla informed the guests about new projects to be implemented at AUL - Auditorium + and "One-Day Caliph".

Hans-Werner Huneke, rector of the Heidelberg University in Germany, thanked the rector and the university administration for their high hospitality, saying they are interested in exchanging students and teachers, teaching German and implementing joint ideas.

Noting that he has great interest in the "One-Day Caliphate" project, the rector said that this experience will be used at the university, where he is the head.

At the end of the meeting gifts were presented to the guests and they were widely acquainted with the university.
