Seminar on "Chinese adventures of Confucius Institute students" was held at AUL

On September 21, a symposium on "Chinese adventures of Confucius Institute students " was held at the Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

With opening remark, Professor Rafig Abbasov, Director of the Confucius Institute, said that his students had successfully studied at leading universities of China during the summer camp and promoted the culture, history and economy of Azerbaijan. Rafig Abbasov emphasized that Azerbaijan is a dynamically developing tolerant country located on the Great Silk Road, and noted that the events dedicated to the history, culture, politics and economy of our country are regularly organized to convey the truth about Azerbaijan's modern life to the Chinese public. According to the State Program "Youth of Azerbaijan in 2017-2021", the participation of young people in international exchange and intercultural dialogue is supported and efforts are being made to develop international youth relations.

Speaking at the event, students from the Confucius Institute made presentations and shared their opinions on the Chinese ethnic identity, especially the Chinese national character, culinary, and style of thinking, as well as their national-psychological qualities.

Chinese schoolchildren’s painting and Chinese ornamental items were featured at the event.

Finally, students of Confucius Institute's Chinese language courses were awarded diplomas.
