World Health Day event was held at AUL

On April 4, an event on “For healthy society” dedicated to April 2 - World Autism Day and April 7 - World Health Day was held on the initiative of senior lecturer of the department of Civil defense and basis of medical knowledge Sadagat  Musaeva at Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).  The event was attended by head of the department of Civil defense and basis of medical knowledge, Associate Professor Sevda Zamanova, doctor, psychologist of Shams Children's Center Khadija Habibullayeva, as well as teachers and students of the university. Psychologist Khadija Habibullayeva provided detailed information about autism spectrum disorders, disease treatment methods, and behavioral disorders. She stressed that children with autism have special characteristics, and bought into the attention of the participants that they don’t have  eye contact, smile, don’t reply while calling their names and simple imitation is not based on the skills. She noted that observation of the behavior of their parents, early detection of some of the problems play an important role in their children's treatment. Later, depression is the response to the events that occur around, and depression is a mental disease that can be seen in every individual at any age, K.Habibullayeva said.

Then speaking about the symptoms of autism, concerns of carriers of this disease in social interactions, linguistic abilities, Associate Professor S.Zamanova noted that autistic children posses math skills, memorize, paintings, and other special abilities. The genetic factors have role in the development of the disease, but still studies are carried out  in this field, she added.

Speaking about the importance of founding of World Health Day in 1948, S.Musayeva stressed the importance of holding enlighten events in the struggle of people with the disease. She noted the necessity of early detection in the fight against any type of disease.
