A scientific-practical event titled “Within the Framework of the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty: From Independence to Sovereignty — The Legal Pillars of Statehood” was held through the joint organization of the Department of International Relations and the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences operating under the BMR Faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL).

Moderating the event, Prof. A. M. Yusifzade emphasized that the declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty creates an important opportunity for the scholarly discussion of a new stage in the history of Azerbaijani statehood.

During the event, extensive discussions were held on the topic. Elvar Khalilov and Ali Mammadov delivered speeches, sharing their views on the formation of statehood traditions, the development of the legal framework, and the significance of the concept of sovereignty in the modern era.

Within the framework of the event, participants exchanged ideas on modern state-building, the principles of the rule of law, and the protection of sovereignty.
