A debate was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) with the joint initiative of the Faculty of English and French Languages and the Department of Methods of Teaching English, with the participation of first-year students of the faculty. The debate trainer was Nermine Isayeva, senior lecturer of the department.

The event was dedicated to the topic “Artificial Intelligence.” During the debate, students were provided detailed information about the concept of artificial intelligence, the fields in which it is widely applied today, and the main directions of AI. The opportunities created by artificial intelligence in the field of education, as well as potential risks, were also discussed.

Throughout the debate, first-year students expressed their personal opinions about artificial intelligence in English. This process made an important contribution to the development of their speaking skills. The discussions conducted in English helped students gain a deeper understanding of the topic and created an environment for them to express their thoughts freely.
