An academic-cultural event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade — a prominent figure of 20th-century Azerbaijani poetry, public intellectual, literary scholar, and People’s Poet — was held at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL). The event was organized by the Department of English Phonetics under the Faculty of English and German Languages and took place in the format of a roundtable titled “Acoustic Aesthetics in Poetry: A Phonetic Approach to B. Vahabzade’s Poems” along with a poetry presentation.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of English and German Languages, Associate Professor N. Jamalzade, the Head of the Department of English Phonetics, Associate Professor Kh. Gojayeva, the department’s academic staff, as well as students of groups 105b, 106a, 325b, 108a, and 108b from the Faculties of English and German Languages and English and French Languages.
