Second-year students majoring in Spanish at the Faculty of Translation of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) visited the European Azerbaijan School, accompanied by the Head of the Spanish Language Center, Nərgiz Mədətova. The purpose of the visit was to celebrate Mexico’s national holiday, the “Day of the Dead” (Día de los Muertos).

As part of the event, AUL students celebrated the occasion together with students of the European Azerbaijan School who are learning Spanish. They made presentations on the topic and performed songs in Spanish. The event contributed to strengthening cultural cooperation between the two educational institutions and enhancing motivation for learning foreign languages.

The Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Maria Victoria Romero, also attended the event. The Ambassador expressed her gratitude for the excellent organization of the celebration and answered the students’ questions about the historical and cultural significance of the “Day of the Dead” festival.
