The "Chuanyang" Chinese holiday was celebrated at AUL

On November 2, the Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) hosted an event dedicated to the traditional Chinese holiday "Chuanyan" - "Twin Nine".

Professor Rafig Abbasov, director of the Confucius Institute, made an opening speech, talking about the philosophical content of the holiday and the beginning of the "side" of one of the two main elements of the universe.

Speaking at the event, Confucius Institute staff and students of AUL gave information about the traditions and legends of the holiday, the preparation of the five-layered cake - "chunyang gao", a symbol of the holiday and the development of ancient ceremonies.

Later, the Chinese flute featured traditional melodies - the trumpets, which sang the floral chrysanthemums of the Middle Ages famous poet Tau Yuanmi, one of the symbols of the holiday.
