Faculty members and first-year students of the Faculty of International Relations and Regional Studies at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) visited the home museum of the university’s alumnus, martyr of the 44-day Patriotic War, Elvin Bayramov. The visit was attended by the Head of the Department of Regional Studies of Western Countries, Professor Sevdagul Aliyeva; Lecturer of the Department of Regional Studies of Eastern Countries, Aygun Soltanzade; and faculty staff members Mehriban Gurbanova-Arabkhanova, Lamiya Abbasova, and Ulkar Shahbazova.

Elvin Bayramov was martyred on October 26, 2020, during the battles in Fuzuli. A graduate of AUL’s Faculty of International Relations and Regional Studies, Elvin Bayramov, son of Islam, demonstrated great courage and heroism throughout the Patriotic War. After his death, his family was awarded the medals “For the Motherland,” “For the Liberation of Fuzuli,” and “Brave Warrior.”

During the visit, Elvin’s mother introduced the first-year students to the home museum and shared memories of her son. The students viewed Elvin’s handicrafts, personal belongings, and photographs, learning about his university life and student memories.

The visit played an important role in deepening the students’ understanding of patriotism, heroism, and self-sacrifice. It also served to instill a sense of national pride, honor the heroism of past generations, and preserve the memory of young heroes like Elvin Bayramov.
