Employees of the Russian Studies Center Successfully Complete International Professional Development Courses
Diana Huseynzada, Head of the Russian Studies Center of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), and Tamilla Naibova, the Center’s leading researcher, have successfully completed professional development courses organized by leading international educational platforms such as Coursera, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and the UN Climate Change Learning Partnership (UN CC:Learn).
The training programs focused on developing professional competencies in sustainable development, climate diplomacy, international communication, and global education initiatives.
As part of the training, Tamilla Naibova successfully completed two courses organized by UNITAR and UN CC:Learn — “Climate Change: From Learning to Action” (in Russian) and “Open Online Course on Gender and Environment” (in English).
Meanwhile, Diana Huseynzada completed the “E-course on Gender Equality and Human Rights in Climate Action and Renewable Energy” offered by UNITAR and UN CC:Learn, as well as the “Feminism and Social Justice” course developed by the University of California, Santa Cruz, and presented on the Coursera platform.
Participation in these programs enabled the employees of the Russian Studies Center to expand their knowledge in the fields of gender equality, human rights, climate change, and sustainable development, as well as to earn internationally recognized certificates.
The acquired knowledge and skills will serve as a strong foundation for further enhancing the teaching and research activities of AUL’s Russian Studies Center and for advancing joint projects in international cooperation and academic diplomacy.
