On February 1, acting rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), Professor Afgan Abdullayev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Husnan Fanani.

Professor Afgan Abdullayev welcomed the guest and expressed his pleasure of seeing him at the University. Speaking about the university’s history, international relations, educational process Afgan Abdullayev noted that  the university is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education. He spoke of the language and culture centers of the university and praised the work of the Centre for Research in Indonesia. The development of relations with Indonesia will contribute to cooperation in the field of education, Professor Afgan Abdullayev said. AUL students learn Indonesia language, history, culture with great interest and they use a rich library at the center, he noted.

Expressing gratitude for warm reception, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Husnan Fanani expressed his gratitude of being at the university. The development of bilateral relations will contribute to cooperation in the field of education, he said. Speaking about the activities of the the Centre for Research in Indonesia ambassador stressed the importance of further expansion. The ambassador spoke about the exchange of teachers and students and noted that Indonesia students might learn Azerbaijan language.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the exchange of teachers and students, the prospects of future cooperation, the development of bilateral relations.

After the meeting, the Ambassador got acquainted with the activities of the Research Center in Indonesia.
