An agreement was signed between Confucius Institute operating under AUL and the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts

On February 9, an agreement on cooperation was signed between Confucius Institute operating under AUL and the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts. The main purpose of the signing of the agreement is development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and China in the field of art and the intensification of education relations in the training of specialists in the field of art, to explore the historical and artistic values of the two nations.
The rector of Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, academician Omar Eldarov spoke about the protection of creative traditions of fine and decorative arts in the schools of Azerbaijan, and development of the activities of the Academy provided information to Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Azerbaijan Wei Cinhuaya.
The ambassador expressed satisfaction with the development of arts education and stressed the importance of strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries.
In his speech, Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Rafig Abbasov provided information on the joint programs in the field of improving the aesthetics education and art education, as well as student exchange, joint scientific conferences, art exhibitions. R. Abbasov mentioned the contract on cooperation in the field of culture between Azerbaijan and China during the visit of national leader Heydar Aliyev to China.
In the end master classes in China's well-known calligraphy styles and China's traditional painting "Guohua" were held by Confucius Institute employees.
