On February 28, according to the Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to mark the 120 anniversary of a prominent statesman and scientist Aziz Aliyev , the Department of Social sciences  hosted the roundtable on “Aziz Aliyev’s  contribution  in the development of  Autonomous Republic of Dagestan” at Azerbaijan University of Languages. The department head, Associate professor Adalat Abdieva provided information about A. Aliyev's life and activity that had an unforgettable trace in the history of Dagestan.  Although his profession was doctor, he played an important role in the public life of our country, coped with his duties and justified the confidence given him, she brought into the attention. Speaking about Aziz Aliyev’s activities in Dagestan,  A.Abdieva noted that he was always  loved by   Dagestanians , as an example of sympathy, the monument was erected there in order to perpetuate the memory of A. Aliyev. Head of the Department of Regional studies, Associate Professor Sevdagul Alieva spoke on "Aziz Aliyev and Dagestan salvation", associate professor of Department of Social sciences Shalala Baghirova on “Aziz Aliyev’s activity in Southern zone ". They also spoke about A.Aliyev’s  working in responsible positions in a variety of government positions, works conducted  during the Second World War, as well as his  contribution in further strengthening of friendly and fraternal relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Dagestan. The event concluded with discussions on the subject.
